ウィーンの象徴・音楽大使として世界中の人々の心を癒す天使たち――ウィーン少年合唱団の創立は1498年。巨匠トスカニーニが彼らのコーラスを評して《天使の歌声》と命名したことでも有名。9歳から14歳の約90名のメンバーは全員アウガルテン宮殿で全寮制の生活をし、ハイドン、モーツァルト、シューベルト、ブルックナーという合唱団にゆかりのある作曲家の名がついた4つのグループに分かれて活動。2017年にオーストリアのユネスコ無形文化遺産に登録。2025年はモーツァルト組が来日。
